I'm the leader of the project "Pushing the Boundaries: Agency, Evolution, and the Dynamic Emergence of Expanding Possibilities," which is funded by the John Templeton Foundation and carried out in collaboration with Prof. Tarja Knuuttila at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Vienna. The project will run from Dec 2022 to Aug 2025. Its website is:

I've written a blog post about the project and my thoughts about the funder. |
If you want a brief overview of the many things I'm interested in:
I appear on episode 118 of the "Brain Inspired" podcast, in a wide-ranging interview with Paul Middlebrooks. talking about the limits of dynamical systems theory and mechanistic explanation, about process philosophy and perspectivism, about agency, evolution and AI, as well as the need to go beyond synthetic theories in evolutionary biology.
You can access the episode here.

What I have to offer...
Philosophy for Researchers
"Science as Process and Perspective" is a crash course in the philosophy of science for researchers across the social, natural, and formal sciences, at all stages of their careers. It consists of a series of online lectures, plus five to six half-day modules of moderated discussion sessions. More information available here. Contact me here for bookings. |
Academic Flourishing
I facilitate academic retreats and workshops that help young academics survive and thrive in today's ruthlessly competitive research environment. The retreat/workshop format is custom-designed to meet the needs of the participants. For more information & booking, contact me here. |
Metamodern Mentoring
While metamodernity is upon our post-industrial society, our education remains stuck between worlds. I use the methods and principles of metamodern philosophy to provide mentoring services that foster resilient personal development for our age of crisis and opportunity. For academics and non-academics of all ages. More information & booking here. |
Scientific Lectures
Having left my traditional academic career path, I am more productive as a researcher than ever. My approach is radically transdisciplinary, combining methods from biology, mathematics, and the philosophy of science. I present the fruits of my efforts to a broad scientific audience in various online lectures, which you can find here. To book me as a lecturer for your institute seminar, lecture series, or conference, contact me here. |
Arts & Science
One of my greatest passions is to combine arts & science for exploratory and educational purposes. Here, you can find information on our arts & science project The Zone. If you'd like to book us for a performance (online/on-site), or an exhibition, contact me here. I also run workshops (co-designed with artist Sépànd Danesh) that combine art & philosophy to boost your creativity. This workshop is on-site and hands-on only. More information here. For bookings, contact me here. |
